When does the window open in Europe? | QUIZ: Which club should you join?

PSG open the door for Keylor

Paris Saint-Germain are keen on a deal to sign Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas, after the French club confirmed veteran stopper Gianluigi Buffon will leave the club after just a year in Ligue 1.

Marca claims Navas was told three weeks ago by Madrid that he was no longer part of manager Zinedine Zidane’s plans for next season, and PSG swiftly moved to open discussions with Los Blancos about a deal to bring the Costa Rican to the French capital.

A move is expected to be completed with minimum fuss, with Real happy to accommodate a deal as a gesture of goodwill to a keeper they still hold in high regard.

Despite the continued presence of France international goalkeeper Alphonse Areola at the club, PSG are confident they can provide incoming Navas with enough playing time to keep him happy.

Keylor Navas may trade in the Spanish capital for the French one if PSG are able to secure the Real Madrid keeper.

Chelsea and Real agree to Hazard fee

The Guardian claims Real Madrid’s protracted move for Chelsea winger Eden Hazard is set to be completed, after the sides agreed a deal worth €100 million plus add-ons.

Hazard appeared to say his goodbyes following his side’s victory over Arsenal in the Europa League final last week, but at that point a deal had not yet been struck between the two clubs. However, following further talks on Wednesday night, a fee has finally been agreed for the 28-year-old.

Madrid and Chelsea bosses are now preparing the contracts for the Belgian to sign, and reports claim that a deal should be completed in a matter of days.

Hazard’s contract at Stamford Bridge was set to expire in the summer of 2020, meaning he could’ve left the club for nothing in just 12 months’ time, but Madrid have made the move early to secure manager Zinedine Zidane’s number one summer target.

Napoli may move for duo following Lozano frustration

Serie A runners-up Napoli have so-far been thwarted in their attempts to sign PSV winger Hirving Lozano, and Calciomercato claims Carlo Ancelotti’s side have now set their sights on two surprise alternatives.

The Italian publication reckons the Napoleans are interested in a move for Wolverhampton winger Adama Traore, and are also keen on a deal for Atlanta United forward Ezequiel Barco.

Traore has had a frustrating season in the Premier League, going without a goal in just over 1,200 minutes of game time, and could be available for around €15 million this summer.

Barco, meanwhile, has earned rave reviews in his nine appearances for Argentina’s under-20 side, and was part of the Atlanta side that won its first ever MLS Cup crown in 2018. The 20-year-old could be picked up for €20m.

Tap Ins

– Napoli are set to complete a deal for Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina, despite the Colombian failing to make enough appearances during his spell at the Italian club to trigger an automatic permanent deal. A transfer is expected to be completed for £3.1 million, according to The Sun.

The Telegraph claims Everton are confident of completing a deal to sign on-loan Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes on a permanent deal, after Tottenham Hotspur pulled out of a move for the Portugal international. The Toffees are also believed to have also offered full-back Leighton Baines a new one-year contract at Goodison Park.

– Newly-promoted Aston Villa are set to complete the permanent signing of Wolverhampton defender Kortney Hause, after triggering a clause in the 23-year-old’s loan deal. Hause made a dozen appearances for Villa to help the club to promotion, and will cost around £3 million, according to The Express & Star.
