Mesut Ozil to Atletico Madrid

The Spanish club have made contact with the German playmaker over a potential return to La Liga next summer, according to The Sun. Ozil — reportedly a Manchester United target — has yet to agree a new deal at Arsenal. The Gunners would be open to offloading him for a cut-price fee in January to avoid losing the 29-year-old for nothing next summer. Atletico boss Diego Simeone is reportedly willing to offer Ozil a bumper contract worth £200,000-a-week to lure him back to the Spanish capital, where he spent three years with bitter rivals Real.

Ahmed Musa to Hull City

Leicester outcast Musa may move to Hull to link up with his former CSKA Moscow boss Leonid Slutsky. The Nigerian forward is on the periphery at the King Power and is willing to leave in order to get first-team football but has indicated the Tigers playing in the Championship would be a problem for him. “Slutsky for me is a father. And we are always in touch, we communicate warmly,” the 24-year-old said. “Perhaps in the near future again I will play for his team. [Hull City playing in the Championship] is the problem. It is for this reason that it’s hard for me to decide.”

Richarlison to Tottenham

Watford’s Brazilian forward Richarlison, 20, has emerged as a Tottenham target. The youngster has made a considerable impact since making an £11 million move from Fluminense in the summer, scoring four goals and notching two assists already. And Richarlison’s style of play has caught the attention of Spurs, who have watched him more than once at Vicarage Road this season. Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino views him as a player with huge potential but signing him will be difficult, as he has starred for Marco Silva’s side this term.

Marcel Halstenberg to Everton

Everton were one of several Premier League clubs to watch the Germany left-back during the 0-0 draw with England at Wembley on Friday night. Halstenberg has risen to prominence in the Bundesliga with RB Leipzig, helping them break into the Champions League after finishing second last season. Initially a centre-back, the 26-year-old was converted into a left-back by then-boss David Wagner during the pair’s time together at Borussia Dortmund II. The Toffees are in the market for a new left-back with Leighton Baines turning 33 in December.

Souza to West Brom

West Brom have revived their interest in Fenerbahce midfielder Souza, 28, after a move stalled in the summer. The Baggies offered £10.6m in the summer but a deal failed to materialise as Tony Pulis instead snared Grzegorz Krychowiak on loan from Paris Saint-Germain. However, the manager has found himself under mounting pressure after a poor run of form that sees them languishing 16th in the Premier League, so he is keen to add as many reinforcements as possible. A defensively minded midfielder, Souza may be open to making a switch to England as he is not a guaranteed starter in Istanbul.
