The latest transfer rumours from around the world.

Things change in the blink of an eye in football. The Football Whispers Index takes the latest transfer rumours and gives them a score out of five; the higher the score, the more realistic and reliable the whisper.

Here are today’s top five emerging whispers. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest gossip.

Jack Wilshere to Marseille

Wilshere’s contract with Arsenal expires in the summer and the 25-year-old is free to negotiate a move elsewhere in Europe from next month. The Arsenal academy product has started to rack up first-team minutes recently but the Gunners have yet to put an offer on the table to extend his stay there. ESPN FC sources say Marseille are keeping tabs on the situation and are putting together a package they feel will be good enough to tempt Wilshere to move to France.

Kevin Mirallas to Galatasaray

A West Ham United transfer target, Mirallas could be heading to Turkey according to reports in the Liverpool Echo. The Belgium winger is unhappy on Merseyside after being afforded limited opportunities this season. He reportedly wants to be playing regularly to increase his chances of making his country’s 2018 World Cup squad. Olympiakos, the 30-year-old’s former club, are also interested but Galatasaray remain favourites.

Maxwel Cornet to Tottenham Hotspur

The Daily Mirror suggest that Tottenham will continue their tradition of signing wingers from Ligue 1 and have identified Cornet as their next target. They’re hoping it will be third time lucky after seeing Clinton N’Jie and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou both flatter to deceive. The 22-year-old reportedly has a £7 million release clause in his Lyon contract.

James Tomkins to Everton

Everton may have spent upwards of £50m on defensive reinforcements in the summer but new manager Sam Allardyce plans to fork out another £20m on a centre-back in January. The Daily Star suggest that Allardyce wants to raid one of his former clubs, Crystal Palace, to sign Tomkins. The idea is to partner Tomkins alongside Michael Keane at the heart of the defence with Phil Jagielka and Ashley Williams being phased out.

Leonardo Bonucci to Manchester City

All is not well at AC Milan and they could be about to lose their captain during the winter window. Bonucci, to the surprise of many, moved from Juventus to the San Siro in the summer and it appeared as though there would be a power shift in Serie A. But AC Milan are in eighth position, 17 points behind Juventus and onto their second manager of the season. Bonucci, a Chelsea transfer target throughout the summer, is reportedly unhappy and is open to a move elsewhere. This has put Man City on red alert and the runaway leaders in the Premier League could make their move next month.
