Former Vancouver Whitecaps and Columbus Crew striker Kekuta Manneh has joined Pachuca in Liga MX.

Liga MX side Pachuca announced the signing of former Vancouver Whitecaps and Columbus Crew SC striker Kekuta Manneh.

Columbus traded for Manneh, 22, with the Vancouver Whitecaps after the start of the 2017 MLS season for $225,000 in targeted allocation money and $75,000 in general allocation money.

He scored 22 goals and added 12 assists in 101 regular season games with the Canadian outfit and had four goals in 19 appearances with MLS Cup semi-finalists Columbus.

Manneh joins a Pachuca club that won the 2016 Liga MX Clausura title but failed to make the playoffs in 2017.

Manneh was born in the Gambia, but after residing across the border from Vancouver in Washington, he obtained United States citizenship and was called into the U.S. national team’s training camp in January.

As part of his trade to Columbus, Vancouver is entitled to a portion of any transfer fee that Pachuca paid to acquire Manneh. As MLS policy dictates, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
