Neymar lost one of his boots into the Persian Gulf when a promotional stunt didn’t quite go as planned.
The Brazilian star and his Paris Saint-Germain teammates are in Qatar this week, and while performing a video shoot on a floating pitch, Neymar decided to punt the ball into the sea.
But as he posted on Instagram on Friday, the ball wasn’t the only item that got a little wet.
The final promotional video showed Neymar holding up one boot, so it appears he may have been able to retrieve it before it sank to the bottom.
He was able to laugh off the incident, of course, as you would expect of someone making €30m a year before taxes — with a Nike endorsement deal on top of it!
