Fiorentina have announced the signing of defender Bruno Gaspar from Vitoria de Guimaraes on a five-year contract.
Gaspar becomes Stefano Pioli’s first signing since he took over from Paulo Sousa as head coach earlier this month.

The right-back made 28 league appearances for the Primeira Liga club last season, with his four assists and 11 clean sheets contributing to Guimaraes’ fourth-placed finish — ensuring Europa League football next season.
Gaspar told fiorentina.it: “I’m happy to be here, Fiorentina is a club with a lot of history.”
The 24-year-old started his career at Benfica, where he played for the club’s second team in the second tier of Portuguese football, before joining Conquistadores on loan in September 2014, which was made permanent the following year.
