Given that it’s now 20 years to the very day since he first donned their famous hoops, Celtic have been spending the day paying humble homage to the great Henrik Larsson.
Sporting his famous dreadlocks, Larsson joined the Bhoys from Feyenoord in July of 1997 and promptly set about scoring absolute an avalanche of goals on both the domestic and European front.

The iconic striker quickly attained bona fide modern club legend status at Celtic, scoring 242 goals in 313 appearances while winning four SPL titles, two Scottish Cups and two Scottish League Cups along the way.
During his time in Scotland, Larsson was also bestowed with a couple of SFA Footballer of the Year awards, two SPFA Players’ Player of the Year awards and two Guldbollen — the golden ball given to the Swedish player of the year.
Not bad for a man who cost just £650,000.
