PSG poke fun at Barcelona’s Super Cup defeat, Cristiano Ronaldo responds to his five-match ban and more in the Sweeper.

Not content with cherry-picking one of their biggest stars over the summer, Paris Saint-Germain appeared to troll Barcelona during the latter’s humiliating Spanish Super Cup defeat against Real Madrid on Wednesday.

Already trailing 3-1 from the first leg, another goal from Marco Asensio saw the Catalans eventually go down 4-1 on aggregate at the Bernabeu as dominant Real took the first blood of the campaign.

Just to rub it in, while Lionel Messi & Co. were still processing the painful result, PSG used their official Twitter account to post a photo of a smiling Neymar, along with a suitably smug emoji.

Of course, the tweet is open to interpretation and could simply be a straightforward picture of an ex-Barcelona striker enjoying himself during a PSG training session.

Then again, it might also be a strategically-timed piece of elite-tier goading.

If so, it’s going to be a long season.
