Everton, German Bundesliga, Leagues, RB Leipzig, Story

Ademola Lookman celebrates his debut goal with RB Leipzig teammates Naby Keita and Kevin Kampl.

Ademola Lookman scored a dramatic late winner on his debut for RB Leipzig in a 1-0 victory at Borussia Monchengladbach.

The game looked to be heading towards a goalless draw only for second-half substitute Lookman, who only joined the club on loan from Everton on deadline day, to strike in the 89th minute.

Lookman is the first Englishman to score a goal in the Bundesliga since Owen Hargreaves netted for Bayern Munich back in August 2005.

That result puts Leipzig joint-second in the Bundesliga, behind Bayer Leverkusen only on goal difference.

The England under-21 international has made 24 appearances for the Toffees in all competitions, playing 16 times this season and scoring twice — both in the 3-0 Europa League victory against Apollon Limassol last month.
