With spirits high after their midweek trouncing of Maribor, it’s perhaps unsurprising that several members of the Liverpool squad were in the mood for a sing-song on their way into work the following day.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was joined in his car by teammates Daniel Sturridge, Joe Gomez and Nathaniel Clyne, who all harmonised beautifully during a soulful rendition of Mario’s 2004 pop classic “Let Me Love You”.

Should you wish to hear your favourite stars mangle even more songs, the full nine-minute video is available on Liverpool’s official Youtube channel, with the quartet finishing off their journey with a truly stirring version of You’ll Never Walk Alone.

Take it from us, it’s exactly as good as you’d imagine.

Chris covers the funny side of the game for ESPN FC in the Toe Poke blog.
