The January window might have just shut, but Transfer Talk still has the updates on all the latest rumours and done deals.

Man United plot Vidal move

Arturo Vidal was strongly linked with a move to Manchester United before joining Bayern Munich in 2015, and the Red Devils are hot on the trail of the Chilean once again.

Jose Mourinho is keen to sign a new midfield partner for Paul Pogba in the summer, and the Daily Star says Vidal is high on the manager’s list of priorities.

Vidal’s contract expires in 2019, and with his 31st birthday approaching in May, Bayern are reportedly open to doing business.

Napoli midfielder Jorginho is another player on Mourinho’s radar, while United are keeping tabs on Borussia Dortmund duo Julian Weigl and Christian Pulisic.

Spurs ready to sell Kane for €200 million

Tottenham will sell Harry Kane to Real Madrid if the La Liga giants stump up €200 million for the striker, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Kane leads an expensive shortlist of Premier League talent Madrid hope to sign — which includes Eden Hazard and David De Gea — as club president Florentino Perez looks to overhaul the first-team squad following a disappointing season.

Apparently Spurs are willing to enter talks — as long as Madrid keep things simple and agree to meet their valuation. Daniel Levy wants to avoid what happened with Luka Modric in 2012, when the Croatian skipped training to force through a move to the Spanish giants.

Benitez won’t kick up a fuss

Rafa Benitez says he doesn’t want to “create a war” at Newcastle after a frustrating January transfer window at St. James’ Park.

The Magpies left it late to bring in Leicester striker Islam Slimani on loan and were thwarted in bids for several players, including Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge.

But Benitez is remaining calm, despite his team’s struggles in the league and the distraction of ongoing takeover speculation.

“I’m here trying to bring the best from the team: That is the best for the club,” Benitez said. “I don’t want to create a war — I don’t need to do that — but I need to be sure the players are concentrated on football playing well and getting points every game to stay up.”

Javier Hernandez has told the Daily Mirror that he wanted to leave West Ham in January. The striker is keen to play more regularly ahead of the World Cup but is focused on impressing David Moyes in the second half of the season.

— In an interview with Sky Sport Italia, Radja Nainggolan said there is “no reason” for him to leave Roma, despite being linked with a move to China in January. The midfielder is also a target for Manchester United and Chelsea after impressing during his spell in the Italian capital.

— Pep Guardiola says Yaya Toure could still have a part to play in Manchester City’s season, reports the Manchester Evening News. The 34-year-old has barely featured for the Premier League leaders and looks certain to leave when his contract expires in the summer.

— Rangers will reward striker Alfredo Morelos with a new contract after rejecting a £7.5 million bid for the Colombian from Beijing Renhe, according to the Daily Record. The 21-year-old has scored 13 goals since moving to Ibrox last summer.
